Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC)
The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is the constitutional body responsible for recruiting qualified candidates to various civil services and administrative posts under the Government of Uttar Pradesh, India’s most populous state.
Establishment
- UPPSC was established on 1 April 1937.
- It was constituted under the provisions that are now contained in Articles 315 to 323 of the Constitution of India.
- The Commission functions independently to ensure fair and merit-based recruitment for state government services.
Headquarters
The headquarters of UPPSC is located in Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (formerly Allahabad), Uttar Pradesh.

Constitutional Status
UPPSC is a constitutional body, similar in structure to the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), but it operates at the state level for Uttar Pradesh.
Composition
The Commission consists of:

UPPSC Online Instructions for Filling the Application Form
- One Time Registration (OTR) Process
- Visit the OTR Portal.
- Enter your e-mail address and mobile number.
- Verify them using the OTP received.
- Upload your photograph and signature.
- Fill in your personal details:
- Name
- Date of Birth
- Father’s/Mother’s Name
- Gender
- Category
- Domicile, etc.
- Enter other personal and contact information and submit the form.
- Click “Get OTR (Immediately)” to obtain your OTR Number.
- Before applying for any examination, you must Lock and Final Submit your OTR profile.
- Online Application Process
- Visit the UPPSC website.
- Carefully read the relevant advertisement/notification.
- Select the desired advertisement from “All Notifications/Advertisements.”
- If you meet the eligibility criteria, click “Apply.”
- Complete the OTR Authentication process.
- Fill in the required educational qualifications and other details.
- Enter the Captcha code and proceed.
- Go to the Candidate Dashboard and complete Part-II of the application.
- Application Form (Part-II)
- Enter your qualifications and other required details.
- Accept the declaration.
- Fill in the Captcha code.
- Use the Preview Form option to verify all information.
- If all details are correct, click “Submit Application Form.”
- Photograph and Signature Upload
- Upload a recent color photograph (generally taken within the last three months).
- Photograph and signature files should be in JPG/JPEG format.
- Follow the prescribed file size limits.
- The signature must be clear and legible.
- Fee Payment
Application fees can be paid through:
- Debit Card
- Credit Card
- Internet Banking
- UPI
- SBI E-Challan
The application is considered complete only after successful fee payment.
- Important Instructions
- Complete both Part-I and Part-II before the last date of application.
- Applications without fee payment will be treated as incomplete.
- Modifications/corrections can be made only up to the prescribed correction date.
- There is no need to send a hard copy of the application form to the UPPSC office.
- Keep a printout of the application form and payment receipt for future reference.
- Eligibility and other details will be verified later through original documents.
